What this website does technically
- The website consists of static pages without JavaScript.
- It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools.
- Fonts, images and all other files come from our own server. No data is transferred to third parties when you visit it.
- There is no contact form.
Hosting
The website runs on a server of web-crossing GmbH in our own data centre in Austria. No external hosting provider and no content delivery network is involved.
Server log files
For every request the web server logs technical details: time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, response time, browser identifier (user agent), referring page (referer) and a shortened IP address. For IPv4 the last two blocks are removed, for IPv6 only the first 32 bits are kept. Cookies and credentials from requests are not logged.
The purpose is secure and stable operation: detecting errors, fending off attacks, assessing load. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). In the central log system the entries are deleted after 14 days. The local copy on the server is limited in size (at most 100 MB) and is continuously overwritten.
Contact by email or phone
When you write to us or call us, we process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is the preparation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the details as long as needed to handle the request, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations require it.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to info@web-crossing.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
